Bio
Recruited from the Victorian Amateur Football Association, Irving Davidson joined St Kilda from the Caulfield Grammarians ahead of the 1951 season. Standing 185cm, he provided a tall option for the Saints during a particularly lean era for the club, with the team often languishing near the bottom of the ladder. He managed 26 senior appearances across four seasons at the Junction Oval, primarily playing a defensive or supporting role that saw him kick just a single VFL goal. Following his delisting, Davidson crossed to the VFA to join Brighton, where he was utilised more frequently in attack and booted 10 goals in 12 games. He remained a respected figure within the Caulfield Grammarians community until his passing in 2022.
