Bio
Isaac Quaynor arrived at Collingwood via the Next Generation Academy pathway, with the club matching a first-round bid to secure the Oakleigh Chargers product in the 2018 National Draft. While he showed glimpses of his potential across his first two seasons, he truly solidified his place in the senior side as an athletic medium defender who balanced attacking flair with defensive accountability. Renowned for his closing speed and strength in one-on-one contests, Quaynor evolved into a difficult matchup for opposition forwards, capable of locking down dangerous smalls while also peeling off to intercept possession.
A cornerstone of the Magpies' backline during the Craig McRae era, Quaynor played a pivotal role in the club's 2023 premiership campaign, earning selection in the All-Australian squad that same year. His durability and consistency allowed him to surpass the 100-game milestone relatively early in his career, establishing him as a leader within the defensive group. By 2026, Quaynor remained one of the first magnets on the board for Collingwood, valued for his composure under pressure and ability to launch counter-attacks from the back half.
