Stats
Bio
Recruited from Mordialloc Juniors, Ivan Goodingham was a left-footed follower and forward pocket who played a supporting role during a golden era for the Bombers. A reliable kick for goal who averaged better than a major a game, his career highlight was his selection in the 1947 Grand Final side, where he booted a goal in the heartbreaking one-point loss to Carlton. While he was a capable contributor, the strength of Essendon's list saw him squeezed out of the senior lineup during the 1949 premiership season, and he left the league after managing just three games in his final year without tasting premiership success.
