Bio
Recruited from local club Braybrook, Ivan Marsh was a determined utility who often punched above his weight class in the ruck. Standing just 185cm—short for a follower even in the 1960s—he relied on a robust frame and combative nature to compete against taller opponents, while also drifting forward to offer a reliable marking target. A consistent presence for Footscray during the lean years following the club's 1961 Grand Final appearance, Marsh was a serviceable soldier for the Bulldogs over seven seasons before departing the VFL to continue his career with Coburg in the VFA.
