Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Mallee town of Quambatook, Jim Taylor was a physically imposing prospect who briefly featured for St Kilda during the 1929 season. Standing 187cm and weighing 87kg, he possessed the ideal frame for a ruckman or key position player in an era where such size was highly coveted. Taylor broke into the senior side for two matches at the Junction Oval but was unable to secure a regular spot in the lineup, failing to register a goal during his short stint. His VFL career was ultimately fleeting, with his time at the elite level restricted to that single season before he departed the club.
