Bio
Recruited from the Riverina town of Balldale, Jack Anderson was a talented forward who made a significant impact during a brief VFL career. The older brother of North Melbourne defender Frank Anderson, he quickly established himself at St Kilda as a reliable goal-kicker, earning selection for Victoria at the 1933 National Carnival. Despite his rising status in the VFL, Anderson surprisingly departed the Saints at just 24 years old to pursue opportunities in the WAFL with West Perth. His move west proved highly successful, seeing him claim back-to-back premierships in 1934 and 1935, a club Best and Fairest, and state representative honours for Western Australia. Anderson later captain-coached Eaglehawk in the Bendigo league and played in the Goldfields, leaving a legacy as a cross-country star who excelled in two premier state leagues.
