Bio
Originally from Nagambie, John "Snowy" Blencowe was a journeyman forward whose brief time in the VFL was punctuated by moves for employment. He started his career with a solitary game for Essendon in the final round of 1912 before heading to the country to play for Donald. He returned to the league in 1914 after moving to Geelong to work as a hairdresser, where he managed two appearances and two goals for the Pivotonians. Unable to cement a regular spot in the senior side, his top-level career ended after just three games, though he later resurfaced in the VFA with Port Melbourne following the First World War.
