Bio
Recruited from VFA powerhouse Sandringham, Jack Brenchley was a prolific rover who joined St Kilda as a 31-year-old mature-age recruit during the Second World War. Taking advantage of the VFA's recess during the conflict, he crossed over to the VFL for the 1942 season and immediately displayed his goal sense by booting eight majors in just nine matches. While his time at the Junction Oval was limited to that single wartime campaign, his quality was evident, validating a reputation built in the Association where he is remembered as a Team of the Century member.
