Stats
Bio
Recruited from VFA club Northcote after developing with the Collingwood Juniors, Jack Coles was a half-forward who made a fleeting appearance for Richmond during the 1909 season. He earned his call-up for a three-game mid-year block, managing to boot two goals but ultimately failing to secure a permanent spot in the Tigers' lineup. Unable to displace the established forwards at Punt Road, he promptly returned to Northcote to continue his career in the Association rather than lingering on the fringe of VFL selection. While his time at the top level was restricted to a single month of football, Coles is remembered for his later contribution as a serviceman during the First World War.
