Bio
Recruited from the Goulburn Valley town of Tungamah, Jack Cooper arrived at Princes Park in 1933 as a versatile key position prospect. Capable of holding down a post at either centre half-forward or centre half-back, Cooper proved to be a remarkably potent avenue to goal when stationed in attack, averaging better than two majors a game during his short stint at the top level. Despite his impressive strike rate in front of the big sticks, he struggled to cement a permanent place in the Blues' senior lineup over three seasons, eventually departing the VFL to continue his career with Brunswick in the Association.
