Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers, Jack Crisp began his career on the Brisbane Lions' rookie list, playing a handful of games as a developing utility without establishing a permanent foothold in the senior side. His career trajectory shifted dramatically during the 2014 trade period when he was included in the complex deal that sent star midfielder Dayne Beams to Brisbane. Widely regarded at the time as "steak knives" thrown in to satisfy the exchange, Crisp arrived at Collingwood with little fanfare but immediately set about dismantling that perception, evolving into one of the most durable and consistent performers in the modern era.
Renowned for his elite endurance and booming left foot, Crisp initially made his mark as a rebounding defender before transitioning into a powerful line-breaking midfielder. His ability to accelerate away from contests and kick goals from outside fifty became a signature of his game, providing the Magpies with drive and versatility. This reliability allowed him to set the all-time record for consecutive games played for Collingwood, rarely missing a match through injury or suspension. A dual Copeland Trophy winner and a key member of the 2023 premiership side, Crisp sits firmly among the club's most valuable contributors of his generation, having transformed from a makeweight trade piece into a genuine star.
