Bio
Recruited from local club Kensington, Jack Cuffe was a diminutive rover who spent five seasons on VFL lists but struggled to command a regular senior berth. Standing just 170cm, he made his debut for North Melbourne in the opening round of 1951 against Collingwood but found opportunities scarce, failing to add to his tally until a brief two-game recall in the middle of the 1953 season. Unable to cement a spot at Arden Street, Cuffe crossed to St Kilda for the 1954 season, joining a struggling lineup that claimed back-to-back wooden spoons during his tenure. He managed just three appearances for the Saints over two years, booting his solitary career goal in 1954, before concluding his time at the elite level as a fringe player who provided occasional cover for the first-choice followers.
