Bio
Recruited from the reigning VFA premiers West Melbourne, Tasmanian-born Jack Dawson arrived at Fitzroy for the 1907 season and immediately found a place in the Maroons' defensive unit. He proved to be a reliable backman, missing only a handful of matches to finish with 13 games in a year where the club finished fifth and just outside the finals. Despite establishing himself as a consistent contributor who held his spot in the senior side for the majority of the year, Dawson did not return for a second campaign, leaving his VFL career as a singular, solid season at Brunswick Street.
