Bio
Recruited from local side Balaclava CYMS, Jack Drinan was the older brother of St Kilda champion and future captain Keith Drinan. Although Keith had already established himself at the Junction Oval by the time Jack arrived for the 1947 season, the siblings were able to take the field together during Jack's two-year tenure at the club. Standing 178cm, Drinan was a solid utility player who primarily operated in defence, managing 10 games in each of his two seasons while the Saints struggled near the bottom of the ladder. While his VFL career was brief compared to his brother's decorated service, he played his role as a consistent backline contributor in the immediate post-war era before finishing his senior career at the end of 1948.
