Bio
Recruited from local club South Districts, Jack Eichhorn was a half-forward and winger who served South Melbourne during the post-war years. He debuted in 1948 but often found himself on the fringe of selection, battling to cement a regular spot in the senior side throughout his seven-season tenure at the Lake Oval. Despite the stop-start nature of his career, Eichhorn proved a loyal servant to the club during a lean era, chipping in with 29 goals and offering utility value across 50 games before departing the VFL scene at the end of 1954.
