Bio
A local product recruited from Middle Park and the Carmelite Colts, Jack Hamilton was a lightly-built utility who earned a brief tenure at the Lakeside Oval in the late 1950s. Donning the number 30 guernsey, he broke into the South Melbourne senior side in 1957, playing nine games in his debut season. While he failed to trouble the scorers during his 16-game career, he was part of the Bloods' rotation for two years before departing the VFL scene at the conclusion of the 1958 season. His time at the top level was short-lived, serving as a depth player during a lean era for the club.
