Bio
Originally hailing from Prahran Districts, Jack Harrison endured a complicated start to his league career characterised by administrative wrangling between the VFL and VFA. After managing just three senior appearances for Melbourne across two separate stints, he established himself as a potent forward with Oakleigh in the Association, leading to a protracted clearance dispute when North Melbourne sought his signature. Finally arriving at Arden Street in 1939, Harrison transformed from a goal-kicker into a steadfast defender, becoming a fixture in the Shinboners' backline throughout the Second World War. He served the club as a reliable, no-nonsense backman for nearly a decade, offering crucial experience and stability to the side before hanging up his boots in 1947.
