Stats
Bio
Recruited from Leeton in the New South Wales Riverina, Jack Haw was a burly ruckman who initially attracted strong interest from Hawthorn before signing with Melbourne. He arrived with significant promise, dubbed one of the "finds of the season" during the 1928 pre-season, but a knee injury suffered in Round 10 derailed his momentum. Although he recovered in time to feature in the Demons' finals campaign that year, his VFL career proved short-lived. After just two seasons, Haw requested a clearance to VFA club Northcote, candidly admitting to the permit committee that he did not believe he was up to the standard of League football.
