Bio
Recruited from Richmond District, Jack Jobson was a utility who briefly broke into the Collingwood lineup late in the 1924 season before a significant suspension derailed his progress. His initial five-game run was brought to an abrupt halt when he was cited for elbowing Fitzroy's Steve Donnellan, an act that cost him his spot in the side and seemingly his momentum. After managing only a single senior appearance the following year, Jobson sought a fresh start and unsuccessfully applied for a clearance to North Melbourne before landing at Hawthorn for the club's second VFL season. He played just one game in the brown and gold in 1926 before returning to Victoria Park without adding to his senior tally, eventually finishing his footballing journey with Northcote in the VFA prior to serving in the Middle East and New Guinea during the Second World War.
