Bio
Recruited from local side North United, Jack Lawrence was a rangy utility who offered height and versatility to the Shinboners' squad in the mid-1950s. Standing 185cm, he possessed the physical attributes of a key position player but found himself largely on the fringe of senior selection during his three seasons at Arden Street. Lawrence made his VFL debut in 1955, yet struggled to cement a regular spot in the lineup under coach Wally Carter, managing just nine appearances and three goals as a depth player before finishing his tenure at the top level in 1957.
