Stats
Bio
Arriving from Hastings after a massive 119-goal season in the Mornington Peninsula league, Jack MacMillan produced one of the most explosive starts to a VFL career on record. The prolific full-forward made an immediate impact in 1936, booting seven goals on debut against North Melbourne to equal the existing league record for a first-game haul. He proved his quality by slotting another five majors against Collingwood the following week, quickly tallying 17 goals in just four matches. However, a broken wrist curtailed his rapid ascent; while he recovered to play in Footscray's 1936 Reserves premiership side, he never added to his four senior games, leaving a brief but potent legacy as a formidable goal-kicker.
