Stats
Bio
Recruited from Yarram via the Collingwood reserves, Jack McCoy joined St Kilda in 1934 seeking the senior opportunities he could not find at Victoria Park. Standing 183cm, he was a tall option for the era and slotted into a struggling Saints lineup that finished at the bottom of the ladder in both of his seasons at the club. A defensive-minded player who never hit the scoreboard in his senior career, McCoy managed nine games across two years before moving to Tasmania to represent Launceston. He eventually returned to Melbourne to play over 30 games for Sandringham in the VFA prior to serving in the Australian Army during World War II.
