Teams

A solid rover from Carlton North, Jack Millen joined Fitzroy in 1925 and quickly established himself as a regular fixture in the Maroons' lineup. Standing 173cm but weighing a sturdy 80kg, he was built heavily for a small man of that era, using his physical strength to win contested ball and drift forward to hit the scoreboard. He proved to be a consistent goal-kicker for a midfielder, booting 42 goals across his career, and was a mainstay of the side for four consecutive seasons. After missing the entire 1929 season, Millen returned to Brunswick Street for a final seven-game stint in 1930, concluding his time as a serviceable contributor during a transitional period for the club.
