Bio
A Warrnambool native who joined the Cats via local club St Joseph's, Jack Morgan’s football journey was defined by the disruption of the Second World War. With Geelong in recess during the height of the conflict, he kept his skills sharp by turning out for the Carlton reserves, eventually making his senior VFL debut for the Pivot when the club rejoined the competition in 1944. A lightly built player noted for his sprinting ability, Morgan managed eight games over two tough seasons as the team struggled to re-establish itself, often alternating between the seniors and the seconds. Although he was granted a permit to St Kilda in 1946, he never played a senior game for the Saints and later found success in the Ballarat Football League. His greatest contribution to Geelong came off the field, where he served for decades as a dedicated administrator and committeeman for the Past Players and Officials Association.
