Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Golden Point Football Club in the Ballarat league, Jack Mulrooney was a tough and skilful utility who added grit to St Kilda’s lineup in the late 1950s. A bricklayer by trade, he was known for his hardness at the contest and ability to hit the scoreboard, booting 18 goals in his 36 games while alternating between the midfield and forward flank. He played during a particularly lean era for the Saints, often fighting against the odds in a struggling side before finishing his VFL career. Mulrooney subsequently moved to the Ovens and Murray League in 1960, where he continued his football journey as a prominent midfielder for the Wangaratta Magpies.
