Bio
Recruited from Northcote, Jack O'Connor arrived at Victoria Park as a teenage prospect during the final stages of the First World War. Standing 179cm, he was utilised as a follower and forward, making his senior debut as a 17-year-old early in the 1918 season. While he contributed a goal in a victory over St Kilda, O'Connor found it difficult to hold his place in a competitive Magpies lineup that would eventually finish the year as runners-up. His tenure at the top level was brief, comprising just three games in black and white before his VFL journey came to a close.
