Bio
Hailing from the Bellarine Peninsula, Richardson was residentially tied to Geelong but struggled to break out of the reserves, eventually moving to the city to sign with South Melbourne in 1928. He carved out a four-season tenure at the Lake Oval, earning a reputation as a high-flying mark whose aerial ability was somewhat offset by a slight frame that left him vulnerable in heavy contests. After 34 games, he was delisted by South on the eve of the 1932 season and offered a lifeline by Melbourne. In a twist of fixture fate, his single senior appearance for the Demons came in Round 1 against his former teammates; he was omitted the following week and later cleared to St Kilda without adding to his career tally.
