Bio
Recruited from Traralgon in the Latrobe Valley, Jack Roberts was a defender who typically lined up at full-back or on a half-back flank. Although he struggled to cement a regular spot in the Tigers' senior 22, he was a standout performer in the seconds, winning the reserves Best and Fairest in 1949. Roberts eventually left Punt Road to pursue a successful career in country football, captain-coaching Maffra, Rushworth, and Donald. His life was tragically cut short in 1965 when he drowned in Lake Buloke at just 39 years of age.
