Bio
Recruited from the Melbourne Juniors, Jack Robertson was a defender who struggled to cement a regular spot in the senior lineup, managing just three appearances across the 1923 and 1924 seasons. While unable to break into the main side permanently, he remained a respected clubman and was appointed captain of the seconds in 1925. However, his football journey came to an abrupt and unfortunate end during an intra-club practice match that same year, where he sustained a severe blow to the chest that knocked him unconscious and forced his retirement from the VFL.
