Bio
Hailing from the West Australian Goldfields, Jack Rocchi established himself as a premier rover with South Fremantle before briefly venturing to Victoria. Already a Sandover Medallist having claimed the WAFL's highest individual honour in 1928, he joined Fitzroy for the 1931 season but made only four appearances in the maroon and blue. His time at Brunswick Street was a fleeting interlude in an otherwise decorated career, and he soon returned to the West to captain-coach South Fremantle and further cement his reputation as one of the state's finest followers. Though his VFL statistics suggest a minor player, Rocchi is rightly recognised as a giant of WA football, eventually earning induction into the West Australian Football Hall of Fame.
