Bio
Born in the Manchester suburb of Ramsbottom in England, Jack Ross was a rare overseas-born talent who found his way to the VFL via the local East Geelong Football Club. He earned his opportunity with Geelong during the 1919 season, joining the senior list as the competition worked to re-establish itself following the conclusion of the Great War. Utilised primarily as a defender, Ross was unable to secure a long-term position in the side, with his tenure at Corio Bay limited to just two senior appearances in the Hoops before his brief elite career concluded.
