Bio
Recruited from Norwood with pick 4 in the 2020 Rookie Draft, Jack Saunders was a high-energy small forward and winger known for his pace and endurance. He spent the bulk of his two seasons at Waverley Park developing his craft with Box Hill in the VFL before finally breaking through for a senior debut in the final round of the 2022 season. Facing the Western Bulldogs in Launceston, Saunders showcased his running capacity and capped off his sole AFL appearance with a fourth-quarter goal. Despite showing promise in that final outing, Hawthorn made several list changes following the season, resulting in Saunders being delisted and returning to the SANFL to continue his football journey.
