Bio
Arriving from Burnley after a standout local career that included a premiership and Best & Fairest honours, Jack Stenhouse quickly found a place in Richmond’s defensive unit. Standing 185cm, he operated primarily as a centre-half back or half-back flanker, noted for his reliable marking hands and ability to clear the ball with long kicks. His time at Punt Road peaked early, featuring in the Tigers’ 1933 Grand Final side that fell to South Melbourne, but he was unable to cement a long-term position in the starting lineup. Stenhouse became a VFL journeyman in his final seasons, managing brief stints with Essendon and Hawthorn to add depth to their lists before finishing his playing days with Moorabbin.
