Bio
Recruited from the Essendon Reserves after developing with local junior powerhouse La Mascotte, Jack Sutton found his senior opportunity at the Western Oval during the final years of the Second World War. Unable to crack the Bombers' lineup, the solid 180cm utility made the switch to Footscray in 1944, where he immediately proved to be a handy avenue to goal. He played his role as a rotation forward effectively, booting eight majors across his 13 senior appearances, but his time at the top level was brief, departing the VFL scene following the conclusion of the 1945 season.
