Bio
Hailing from Trafalgar in Gippsland, Jack Vinall reached Essendon via Williamstown Juniors and broke into the senior side for the opening round of the 1944 season. He played the first two matches of the year and managed to boot a goal on debut, but his VFL career was effectively ended by a severe leg break that forced him to miss the remainder of the campaign. Vinall transferred to Williamstown in the VFA in 1945, and while his senior playing tenure was brief, he became a significant figure at the club as a mentor. He transitioned into coaching, notably captain-coaching the Williamstown reserves to a premiership in 1948 and later serving as president of the thirds.
