Stats
Bio
Recruited from South Yarra, Jack White entered the VFL system during a period of extreme on-field turmoil for St Kilda. He debuted midway through the 1899 season, a designated "wooden spoon" year in which the club failed to register a single victory, and was brought into a lineup desperate for competitive depth. Despite a short career limited to just six senior appearances, White secured a unique place in club history by featuring in the historic Round 1, 1900 victory over reigning premiers Melbourne. This massive upset snapped St Kilda’s infamous 48-game losing streak and provided the only win of White's tenure. He managed a solitary goal during his brief time at the Junction Oval before departing the league as the Saints continued to aggressively cycle through players in search of a stable list.
