Bio
The son of inaugural Port Adelaide best and fairest winner Darren Mead, Jackson Mead arrived at Alberton as a father-son selection with pick 25 in the 2019 National Draft. After spending his first two seasons developing in the SANFL, he broke through for his debut in 2022, though he initially fought hard to graduate from the fringes of selection to a permanent spot in the 22. A clean-skilled midfielder capable of rotating across half-forward, Mead is characterised by his composure in traffic, high football IQ, and precise disposal rather than explosive athleticism. By 2026, he had accumulated over 60 games to establish himself as a reliable contributor within the Power's senior rotation, providing an important link in transition chains and continuing the family legacy at the club.
