Bio
Jackson Phillips is a versatile midfielder who enjoyed a rapid rise in his draft year after developing his craft at local club Langwarrin. Representing the Dandenong Stingrays in the Talent League, he established himself as a dynamic prospect and earned a wing spot in the 2026 Team of the Year. He also stepped up for Vic Country at the National Championships and was rewarded with a VFL debut for the Casey Demons late in the season, where he kicked a goal in his first outing.
A modern player with a balanced inside and outside game, Phillips is renowned for his clean hands below his knees, speed and punchy kicking on both sides of his body. He possesses elite aerobic endurance and a knack for hitting the scoreboard with running goals. Scouts praise his class and decision making in transition, though they note he needs to build his overall strength and contested ball winning ability to consistently match mature bodies. Invited to the national draft combine, Phillips is widely rated a top 40 prospect who could attract interest in the first or second round of the draft.
