Bio
A mature-age recruit from local club Bell Park, Jackson Sheringham earned his place on the Geelong list via the 2012 Rookie Draft after delivering impressive performances for the club's VFL affiliate. Renowned for his elite aerobic capacity and relentless work rate, he operated primarily as a defensive forward and outside runner tasked with harassing opposition defenders and providing link-up play. However, breaking into a star-studded Cats lineup proved difficult, and despite showing glimpses of his running power at the top level, he was unable to cement a regular spot in the senior side. Sheringham finished his AFL career with 12 games over three seasons before being delisted at the end of 2014, though he remained a respected figure within the club's state-league program.
