Jacob Allison

A product of the Brisbane Lions Academy, Jacob Allison joined the senior list via pick 55 in the 2016 National Draft after the club matched a bid to secure his services. A tall, athletic utility with a penetrating right boot, Allison was best suited to an outside role on the wing or across half-back where he could utilise his long kicking to break lines. He showed promise during sporadic opportunities in his first three seasons, most notably stringing together nine games in 2019, but often found himself on the fringe of selection as he worked to improve his defensive accountability. As Brisbane rose rapidly up the ladder to become a genuine premiership contender, Allison was unable to crack the best 22 during the shortened 2020 season and was subsequently delisted, ending his time at the Gabba with 19 senior appearances.
