Bio
Recruited from Tuggeranong in the ACT, Jacob Anstey was a lightly framed forward pocket who arrived at Carlton via pick 63 in the 1995 National Draft. He spent the 1996 season developing in the reserves before making his senior debut the following year, showing promise as a goal sneak capable of converting limited opportunities. Although he played some handy football, notably gathering 13 disposals and a goal against Essendon in early 1998, Anstey struggled to lock down a permanent position in the Blues' lineup. He was delisted by Carlton but earned a second chance when St Kilda recruited him with a late selection in the 1998 draft. The move to Moorabbin did not yield further senior opportunities, however, and he was delisted after one season with the Saints without adding to his career tally.
