Jade Gresham

Recruited from the Northern Knights with pick 18 in the 2015 National Draft, Jade Gresham arrived at St Kilda as a highly touted junior and quickly cemented his spot in the senior side. A player blessed with natural evasiveness and a low centre of gravity, he built his reputation on his ability to create opportunities in heavy traffic, effectively splitting his time between a high-pressure small forward role and the midfield. While he produced moments of individual brilliance and consistent goal-kicking returns, his later years at Moorabbin were frustrated by significant injury setbacks, including a ruptured Achilles, which stalled his transition into a full-time on-baller.

At the conclusion of the 2023 season, Gresham exercised his rights as a restricted free agent to join Essendon, with the Saints declining to match the offer. The move provided a fresh environment for the dynamic playmaker, who slotted into the Bombers' lineup as an experienced head capable of rotating through centre bounces and hitting the scoreboard. Now established at Tullamarine, Gresham remains a dangerous dual-threat player, relied upon to provide spark and clean possession in the forward half of the ground.
