Bio
Hailing from Elliott in the Northern Territory, Jake Neade was originally secured by Greater Western Sydney as a Northern Territory zone access selection but was traded to Port Adelaide before playing a senior game for the Giants. Arriving at Alberton alongside Jack Hombsch in a deal that saw the Power part with pick 29, the diminutive forward made an immediate impact, debuting in Round 1, 2013, and becoming a cult figure during the club's resurgence under Ken Hinkley. Standing at just 170cm, Neade was a livewire small forward who relied on blistering pace, relentless tackling pressure, and agility to harass opposition defenders. While he produced memorable moments—particularly during the 2013 and 2014 finals campaigns—he struggled to cement a permanent position in the best 22 as his career progressed, often drifting in and out of the side based on form. After managing just eight appearances in 2018, Neade was delisted following six seasons with the club.
