Bio
Drafted by Adelaide with pick 14 in the 2006 National Draft, James Sellar arrived at West Lakes with high expectations following an All-Australian junior career. A tall utility capable of playing key position roles or in the ruck, he found it difficult to break into a Crows side well-stocked with tall timber, spending much of his early career in the SANFL with Glenelg. After being delisted by Adelaide following five seasons and 21 games, Sellar was offered a lifeline by Melbourne, where the coaching staff sought to utilise his size in defence. He added another 23 games across two seasons with the Demons, often tasked with stopping opposition key forwards, before being delisted a second time at the conclusion of the 2013 season.
