Bio
Recruited from Ballarat, Jamie Lamb was a tall wingman and half-forward who played eight seasons at the top level but often found himself on the fringe of senior selection. He showed flashes of genuine quality during his initial five-year stint at St Kilda, most notably in a breakout performance against Sydney in 1990 where he gathered a career-high 29 disposals and booted three goals. Despite that form, he was delisted at the end of the year but was quickly handed a lifeline by Geelong in the 1991 Pre-Season Draft. Lamb seized the opportunity to play finals football in his first season at the Cattery, featuring in the Preliminary Final loss to West Coast. However, he was unable to retain his spot as the Cats developed into a powerhouse, managing only sporadic appearances during the height of the Malcolm Blight era before departing the league in 1993.
