Stats
Bio
Recruited from Central District with pick 56 in the 1996 National Draft, Jarrod Cotton was a prolific state-league goal-kicker added to Port Adelaide's inaugural AFL list to provide offensive depth. A classic lead-up forward known for his strong hands and finishing ability, Cotton faced stiff competition for a spot in the Power's attacking 50, sitting behind the likes of Scott Cummings and Warren Tredrea in the pecking order. He broke into the senior side late in the 1997 season, kicking two goals on debut against West Coast, but could not maintain his place and added just three more games to his career tally. Delisted after the 1998 season without playing another senior match, he returned to the SANFL where he enjoyed a long playing career across four clubs before transitioning into high-performance coaching, eventually holding assistant roles at both Adelaide and Port Adelaide.
