Bio
The son of Port Adelaide premiership star Peter Burgoyne, Jase Burgoyne arrived at Alberton as a father-son selection with pick 60 in the 2021 National Draft. While his slight frame initially raised questions about his durability at the senior level, he displayed the silky skills and poise synonymous with his famous family name from his earliest opportunities. After teasing his potential as a rebounding defender in his first two seasons, Burgoyne enjoyed a breakout 2024 campaign where he cemented his spot in the Power’s best 22. Predominantly utilised on a wing and at half-back, he uses his elite aerobic tank and precise decision-making to transition the ball from defence to attack, becoming a critical link player for the side. Now firmly established in the senior lineup, Burgoyne has successfully stepped out of his father's shadow to carve his own identity as a classy, high-production outside runner.
