Bio
Hailing from Warragul, Alger developed his craft in the Gippsland region before a move to Caulfield Grammar saw him switch to the Oakleigh Chargers for his draft year. A natural goalsneak with surprising aerial range for his medium-sized frame, he caught the eye of Richmond recruiters who specifically traded back into the 2024 National Draft to secure him with pick 58. He plays as a high-impact forward, utilizing impressive speed and agility to create separation on the lead while possessing the sure hands to compete in the air against taller defenders. After breaking into the senior side for a promising four-game stint in the back half of 2025, he enters the 2026 season aiming to convert his VFL form into a permanent role inside the Tigers' attacking 50.
