Bio
Selected by West Coast with the 12th pick in the 1997 National Draft, Jaxon Crabb arrived in the AFL as a highly rated ball-magnet from Claremont but found it difficult to translate his prolific state league form into a regular senior role. Unable to bypass a star-studded Eagles midfield rotation, he managed just 15 games over three seasons before being delisted and subsequently thrown a lifeline by Port Adelaide in the 2001 National Draft. His time at Alberton followed a similar narrative, as he struggled to crack a dominant Power lineup that finished as minor premiers in 2002, adding only four games to his tally. While his AFL career was brief and defined by being on the fringe of strong squads, Crabb later validated his ability at the state level, returning to the WAFL to win the 2005 Sandover Medal as the competition's fairest and best player.
