Bio
Recruited from Ormond Amateurs in the VAFA, Jeff Kiteley was a disciplined defender who successfully bridged the gap between amateur and league football in the late 1950s. Stationed primarily in the back pocket for South Melbourne, he was tasked with curbing the influence of opposition small forwards and resting rovers at the Lake Oval. After serving an apprenticeship on the fringe of selection, he established himself as a consistent member of the Swans' defensive unit during the 1960 season. Kiteley ultimately played 39 games over five years in the red and white, providing steady service in the backline before his VFL career concluded at the end of 1961.
